FREE FOR MEMBERS! Do you enjoy art, crafts and kids? Attend camp as a Jr. Studio Assistant. Learn to guide, assist and inspire children alongside the Cloud 9 team!
Jr. Studio Assistants work with kids (grades K5-5th) in the studio during summer camps. They also help prepare materials and clean-up from projects. When time and materials allow, Jr. Studio Assistants can make the projects and participate in the art experiences.
All participating Jr. Studio Assistants attend one 1.5 hour workshop (details below) and select 2 summer camps to assist with.
Creative Leadership Workshop
To join us this summer as a Jr. Studio Assistant, register for one of our Creative Leadership Workshops offered in Spring (1.5 hours). This required workshop builds skill and confidence in working creatively and responsibly with kids, studio materials, and procedures. When you register, you will also select the 2 camps you’ll be hands-on-helping with, as a Jr. Studio Assistant!

FAQ
What will my child learn from the Jr. Studio Assistant Summer Program?
Jr. Studio Assistants will learn skills necessary for responsible care of art tools and materials, working with younger peers in a leadership role, and encouraging discovery through creative thinking and problem-solving… just to name a few.
Can my child be a Jr. Studio Assistant without attending the Creative Leadership Workshop?
All kids interested in participating this summer as a Jr. Studio Assistant must attend one 1.5 hour Creative Leadership Workshop in May.
Can my child assist with 2 camps during the same week?
Each Jr. Studio Assistant can assist with up to one 4-day camp and one 1-day in the same week.
Can my child attend a morning camp as a camper and an afternoon camp as a Jr. Studio Assistant (or vice versa)?
This is definitely possible! When you select your camps, choose dates that align with the same week that your child is attending camp. Anyone staying the full day should bring a nut-free lunch. Please keep in mind that our staffing changes between 12-1 pm so while there are adults present in the studio, there is no direct supervision.
Can my child participate with a friend?
Yes! Wouldn’t that be fun! There are two Jr. Studio Assistants per camp. You are welcome to sign up for the same camps.
When do we select the camp weeks?
Right away! After registering for the workshop, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Click the Sign-up Genius link in the email to select the 2 camps you’ll be hands-on-helping with, as a Jr. Studio Assistant!
What if plans our change, can we cancel or change camps?
ANS: Yes, changes can be made to camps selected based on availability. Please email [email protected] to request changes or to cancel. Please note, registration fees are non-refundable.
