Become a Creative Leader this Summer!

Cloud 9 Workshop’s Jr. Studio Assistant Summer Program is a fun way to engage in the studio experience as a hands-on helper. 

This program is for teens and tweens in grades 6-12 (completed) who enjoy art, crafts, and kids! 

All interested Jr. Studio Assistants must attend one 1.5 hour workshop on:

Thur, April 25, 4:30-6 pm -OR- Sun, April 28, 1:30-3 pm

Designed for Grades 6-12

Jr. Studio Assistants help guide, assist, and inspire children (grades K5-5th) in the studio during summer camps.  They also help prepare materials and clean-up from projects. When time and materials allow, Jr. Studio Assistants can make the projects and participate in the art experiences.

Creative Leadership Workshop

To join us this summer as a Jr. Studio Assistant, register for one of our Creative Leadership Workshops offered in Spring (1.5 hours).  This required workshop builds skill and confidence in working creatively and responsibly with kids, studio materials, and procedures.  After attending the workshop, you will receive an email notifying you about the 2 camps you’ll be hands-on-helping with, as a Jr. Studio Assistant!

What will my child learn from the Jr. Studio Assistant Summer Program?

Jr. Studio Assistants will learn skills necessary for responsible care of art tools and materials, working with younger peers in a leadership role, and encouraging discovery through creative thinking and problem-solving… just to name a few.

Can my child be a Jr. Studio Assistant without attending the Creative Leadership Workshop?

All kids interested in participating this summer as a Jr. Studio Assistant must attend one 1.5 hour Creative Leadership Workshop in May.

Can my child assist with 2 camps during the same week? Two different weeks?

You can request your top 5 camps and add a note that you’d like both camps to be the same week (or different weeks) and we’ll do our best to accommodate your wishes, although we can’t guarantee your camps will be scheduled as requested.

Can my child attend a morning workshop as a camper and an afternoon workshop as a Jr. Studio Assistant (or vice versa)?

This is definitely possible!  When you select your top 5 camps as a Jr. Studio Assistant, also leave us a note at checkout. Although we can’t guarantee your camps will be on the same day, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Anyone staying the full day should bring a nut-free lunch.

Can my child participate with a friend?

Participating with a friend is fun! Please leave us a note at checkout. Although we can’t guarantee your camps will be together, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
